65A brief introduction tour to Lao's capital, Vientiane, and the world heritage city of Luang Prabang as well as Xieng Khouang in the Plain of Jars. Tour covers the famous historical, religious, cultural, rural village life, and natural spots of central Laos.

Day 1: Vientiane - Arrival (Dinner)

Arrive in Vientiane Wattay International Airport / Friendship Bridge, meet and transfer to hotel for check-in. City tour to visit Wat Sisaket, Ho Pha Keo, the Patouxai, Phra That Luang and the fresh food market. Dinner in a restaurant.
Overnight in hotel, Vientiane.

Day 2: Vientiane - Xieng Khouang (Breakfast / Lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel, then transfer to the domestic airport for departure flight to Xieng Khouang. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel, then visit the Plain of Jars, the archaeological site of the 6th century, and return to Phonsavanh for lunch. Afternoon excursion by car to visit Muang Khoune, the former capital city of Xieng Khouang province, as well as visit Hmong and other ethnic minorities of Lao Luen village (lowland Lao).

Day 3: Xieng Khouang - Luang Prabang - City Tour (Breakfast / Lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel. Overland to Luang Prabang (about 5 hours through wild mountainous terrain that is very scenic). Arrive in Luang Prabang and check-in at hotel. Lunch in a restaurant. City tour to visit Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Mai, and we climb the 329 steps up Phousi Hill for a panoramic view of the town and Nam Khan River as well as watch the sun set on Wat Si Phoutthabath. When you descend to the main road the ethnic night market would be in full swing. Overnight in hotel, Luang Prabang.

Day 4: Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves & Kuangsi Falls (Breakfast / Lunch)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temple in Laos. Then board our boat for a cruise upstream on the Mekong River to visit the Pak Ou caves. On the way, stop at Ban Xiang Hai where rice-wine distillation by traditional method can be observed. Visit Pak Ou (Tham Ting) known as Buddha Cave wherein is crammed hundreds of Buddha images placed there by devotees over the centuries. Picnic lunch at a bamboo cottage on the river overlooking a vista of lovely woods and flowing waters at the confluence of the Mekong River and Pak Ou River. In the afternoon return to Luang Prabang and continue by car to visit Ban Phanom, the very well-known Lao traditional weaving village, and onwards to the Kuangsi Falls where gushing water from the top of the hill cascades over boulders and form pools for swimming and wading in. We will visit a village to see women doing embroidery and walk about in the village to have an insight into how this ethnic group live. Return to your hotel.

Day 5: Luang Prabang - Vientiane - City Tour (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the National Museum (the former royal palace) and take a last walk along the main street of Sisavangvong before transfer to airport. Depart by Lao Airlines flight to Vientiane. Arrive at Wattay Airport in Vientiane, meet and transfer to hotel. City tour of Vientiane visiting the Ho Pra Keo, Wat Sisakat, Patouxai, the National Cultural Ethnic Park, the Friendship Bridge and Buddha Park. Dinner in a local restaurant with traditional music and dances. Overnight in hotel, Vientiane.

Day 6: Vientiane - Departure (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning visit to the market before transfer to Friendship Bridge or airport for your departure from Laos.
