Day 1: Yangon Arrival (Dinner)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Meet and transfer to hotel and check-in. Start orientation tour of Yangon visiting Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda - a colossal reclining Buddha, Shwedagon Pagoda - over 2500 years old the world famous stupa; Sule Pagoda, a beautiful octagonal golden stupa dating over 2,000 years and from which all distances in Myanmar are measured; visit Botataung Pagoda and then Strand Jetty to see the daily life of the people along the Yangon River. Visit Bogyoke Market (used to be called Scott Market), the largest market in Yangon with time to browse among the hundreds of stalls. In the late afternoon visit the world famous Shwedagon Paya whose massive dome is covered with layers of gold.
Welcome dinner with cultural show at Karaweik Palace "floating" restaurant, built in the style of Myanmar's olden days royal barge. After this dinner-show return to hotel.

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (Breakfast)

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Yangon airport for the early morning flight to Bagan, Burma's ancient city and living treasure house of Buddhist architectural styles. Full day sightseeing to Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda - built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine; Wetkyi-In Gubyaukkyi, a temple with exquisite murals of Jataka scenes; Htilominlo Temple - the largest temples of Bagan and Ananda Temple - King Kyansittha's masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple architecture. Continue to Dhamanyangyi Temple built by King Narathu in 1167 and not finished but displaying the finest brickwork in Bagan; Manuha Temple - built by King Manuha of Thaton. See the local handicraft of lacquerware in Myinkaba village.

Day 3: Bagan – Mt Popa (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion to Mt Popa, abode of ancient Myanmar's 38 nat. At the top are many shrines and from here you have a panoramic view of the plain below. See the locals scale the palmyra trees to obtain the juice for making jaggery and toddy. Return to Bagan and be at leisure.

Day 4: Bagan – Heho for Inle Lake

After your own breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. On arrival in Heho, go by road to Pindaya - a small quiet town, famous for its thousands of Buddha statues deposited inside the caves centuries ago. Visit Pindaya caves, a traditional Shan paper-making house, pottery and umbrella making villages. Proceed to Nyaung Shwe - a small town located at the entrance of Lake Inle. And then boat transfer to the hotel.

Day 5: Inle Lake (Breakfast/ Lunch)

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, boat trip on Inle Lake, the second biggest lake in Myanmar, famous for its unique leg rowers. Tour highlight is a visit to the Floating Market (can be seen on the market days which is on a five-day rotation among five villages), Ngaphechaung Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries on the lake and well known for its jumping cats trained by resident monks, floating gardens in Kay La village, the famous wish-fulfilling Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, Inpawkhone Village - famous for its silk weaving handloom; blacksmith shop at Se' Kaung village and traditional cigar making. Lunch in a local restaurant is included.

Day 6: Heho – Mandalay (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Heho airport for the flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival in Mandalay airport, meet and transfer for tour to Amarapura, an ancient capital built by the advice of astrologers and U Bein Bridge – a 1.2 km long over 200-year-old all-teak bridge; Mahagandaryone Monastery, where one may observe the daily life of the monks and their lunchtime. Proceed to see the weaving of Mandalay's unique tapestry handicraft called "kalaga" and other handicraft like marble carving and gold-leaf beating into very thin wafers used for gilding Buddha images.

Day 7: Mandalay – City Tour & Mingun (Breakfast/ Lunch)

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Visit Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery - noted for its exquisite wood carvings, Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda - known as the world's biggest book. Lunch in a local restaurant. Take a boat up the Ayeyarwaddy River to visit Mingun where the world's largest ringing bell exists. Sightseeing of the Pahtodawgyi unfinished Pagoda, Myatheindan Pagoda, and the home for the aged. Climb up Mandalay Hill for a great sunset experience.

Day 8: Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Check-out of hotel and go on a trip to the mountain resort of Pyin Oo Lwin called Maymyo during colonial times. See the beautiful gardens and herbal plants, fruits in season and coffee plantations. Enjoying visiting the many sights in the town in a horse-carriage.

Day 9: Pyin Oo Lwin (Maymyo) – Mandalay (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning at leisure in this charming town. In the afternoon descend to the plains and check into hotel. Overnight at Mandalay City Hotel, Mandalay.

Day 10: Mandalay- Departure (Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free until time to transfer to airport for departure flight.
